Another Cardinals Step in the right direction
I was pleasantly surprised when I found out Sunday the new Arizona Cardinals head coach was chosen so soon and It was Ken Whisenhunt. A Denver Bronco fan since birth (I was born in Denver), I know the feeling of being a fan to a winning organization.
I moved to Arizona when I was 8 years old, so I try like everyone else to support the hometown team. I have endured several losing seasons with the Arizona Cardinals only to hope that the following year would be “the one”.
Every few years the coaching turnstile would be reloaded with a new coach who would open with an absurd speech promising us a winner. I have yet to see it! I was ecstatic to listen to the intelligent and well chosen words coming from the mouth of our new leader, Coach Whisenhunt.
The Coach did not make promises; but, did dig his heels in immediately and show his sincere propensity to win. I was one of the many fans ready to cancel my season tickets next year.
Now, I have decided to upgrade my seats and fasten my seatbelt for what should be an exciting journey. Good luck Coach Whisenhunt, going where no other Cardinals coach has gone before, into the hearts of us hometown fans.
hello kim,
I too agree with your comments about the new cardinal head coach, Ken Wisenhunt. I am from Pittsburgh, Pa and just moved to the valley about 3 years to attend ASU. I know from experience that in Pittsburgh (the former team of the new coach) they preach discipline, hard work, no flashiness from players and overall an attitude of winning first. Although I am a die hard Steelers fan and was really disappointed to lose such a great offensive coordinator I think this attitude will go a long way in rebuilding a franchise in need of some much needed discipline. Coach green talked a good talk but was unable to gain the respect of his players for one reason or another, and I believe this city finally found the right man for the job.

Sorry Kim. The Arizona Cardinals will never be a winning franchise as long as the Bidwell’s own the team. They dont want to spend any money on the good free agents and when they already have a good player instead of keeping him they let him go to another team so they can keep their money in their pocket. When they signed Edgerrin James I was a little surprised, but then again they needed to do something with the season and their brand new stadium ready for them. And it is a beautiful stadium after having seen it in person. But before you know it, you will go back to seeing cardinal games in front of a half empty stadium as usual. And the great young players they have right now will not be resigned but let go of as usual. And Until they get someone else to run the team differently, they will always be the same old Arizona Cardinals.
Hi Kim,I have been a cardinals fan ever since they been in St.Louis,Missouri.This past season was a disappointment I was hoping they would make the playoffs or at least have a winning season.Maybe next season (super bowl 2008!!).
