Viva Mexico

January 31st, 2007

I would be surprised if there are two co workers any where in the country who get along better than Tara and me.

I would be surprised if there are two co workers any where in the country who get along better than Tara and me. We have an incredible working relationship, and we both thoroughly enjoy being on assignment together, working on stories like we were in Mexico. The funny part is that we’re so different. She’s full charge, I’m layed back. She’s way smarter than me, but I’m a better writer and story teller. I guess what I’m saying is that even though we are so different, and don’t hang out much together outside work, we’re like two gears that work very well together. Another reason that working on Good Morning Arizona is so easy….even if you have to get up at three in the morning.

Thank you for featuring San Carlos. I taught ESL at Colegio Americano for one year and fell in love with the town. Haven’t been back to Rocky Point since. Be sure to visit Tony’s market behind Rosa’s Cantina, El Sauce y La Palma in Guaymas (open after 3:00), and for some interesting nightlife Froggies & Tequila’s.

I can’t wait to return and visit with the dolphins.

Again, thank you. San Carlos is a beautiful place.

I loved your segment on San Carlos. I’ll be checking out the dolphins next time we are there. We have been going there for vacations for about 3 years now. My in-laws have a beach house just down from the Paradiso Resort. We spent 10 days there over the Holidays and it was beautiful. Next time you are there you also should check out the Soggy Peso Bar, which is beach side in between the Costa Del Mar and Puesta Del Sol subdivisions, just by that Paradiso hotel. They have the best Margarittas and Crab appetizers for sunset!

Great segment and thank you for featuring San Carlos! My parents own a home there and we have been visiting San Carlos since I was 12 years old! I’m now a parent of 2 and take my own young ones down there. I wanted to chime in as well with Amy who previously posted– you must visit the Soggy Peso/Kite Shack/The Hangout (goes by all 3 names) and visit the best beach bar around! Give hugs to Kelly, Luca, Lisa and Noah if you go there from Tammy and Quinn and Jude!!!
Thanks again Dan– we LOVE watching your segment! My 2 year old says “momma! Dan’s on!”
    Cheers!
    Tammy
