The Only Way To Fly

January 26th, 2008

 Watch the story!

I’ve been to the promised land, and now it may be impossible to go back to coach. Or back to the airlines that seem to hate passengers more and more.

20080128_danplane.jpgBy the picture you can see I’m talking about flying in a private jet in comfort and 614 miles an hour. It was a rare treat for me, but a friend was flying to Telluride for skiing, and she invited me along for the ride on a brand new Guflstream G200.

The plush comfort of a private jet is only the beginning. Driving in right next to the plane is huge, no parking miles away, taking a bus that drops you off at the wrong end of the terminal, and no TSA stealing your Carmex. Step out and step on as your car is parked inside a hanger.

Inside the plane, the seats are comfortable and there’s even room to actually read a newspaper because no one is reclining their seat in to your face.

Problem is, private jets are expensive. The short trip to Telluride is $8,000, and I’ll never be able to afford that.

So it’s back to coach where we can all share our colds and our misery.

    Dan,
Awesome… Awesome story… You and Gibby make such a great team and this is the best story I have seen on Channel 3 in a long time. Great job, I have sent the link to the video to all my airplane buff friends… Great job my friend, you are a true joy to watch every morning on GMAZ… Thank you…
