Today was a great day. Our first show on the road went well, and after the show I ran in to a high school friend who just moved to Arizona. At first I didn’t recognize him because it’s been almost 20 years. Had a nice visit then I was ready to hit the road to Payson….so I thought.
The road show has officially begun. I’m sitting here in my large and beautiful room at the Carefree Resort feeling pretty good about things.
I don’t like staged pictures, anywhere. They are so contrary to what a news department is supposed to do, and that’s tell or show a story as it naturally happens.
I’ve already traveled a lot of miles getting ready for this years road trip…and a lot of it has been through the mud.
Traveling in a time machine is just a dream you sometimes see in the movies or on TV. Or maybe in Arizona. That’s because we’re blessed with the ability to step back in to time by just going through a door.
Those words from an old Commander Cody song, certainly came true for me Saturday night in Flagstaff. The big surprise was that I was a week early meeting friends from the Orme School on a five day horseback trip.
From an older brother’s perspective, it is quite a humbling experience to see the true measure of a man in your little brother.
