confessions of an ambulance chaser–”lyin’ for zion–oprah in warrenland”–and the unexpected consequences of compounding

Thank God for St. Oprah! Thank God the patron saint of all that is good and righteous tonight set the world straight on the practice of polygamy. Those nice FLDS folks don’t force young girls into plural marriages! Willie Jessop said so! The women at the ranch said so!

And St. Oprah gave them her blessing!….more to come

    Mike,
I also was very disappointed in the show but not surprised by it. Even so, I kept watching hoping that sooner or later Oprah would pull out somekind of real documented truths and confront the obvious lying that was taking place. I found the whole show disturbing and an insult to both her intelligent TV viewers and to the women she interviewed. Walking onto that compound in skin tight pants to interview women who try to cover everything up, revealed her blantant disregard and disrespect for the protocol of their homes and beliefs. She played both sides of this issue for sensational programing and only proved to me that, like so many issues on her show, one can never really know her heart or her stand, because she many times choses to ride the center line and double talk controversy for the sake of prestige, power, adoration and ratings. (Sainthood might be an appropriate assumption) I pray her influence in recklessly trivializing this issue will not be as damaging as we fear. I honor all your hard work and sacrifice to expose the lies and set the captives free.
