PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say a woman has been indicted on first-degree murder and child abuse charges in the death of a 3-year-old Peoria girl in her care.

A Maricopa County grand jury indicted 27-year-old Ayrin Vick on Tuesday but it was not announced until Thursday by the county Attorney’s Office.
Vick was arrested on July 22 in the case.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Peoria police, Vick was at home on April 7 caring for Natalia Santillan, who was the niece of Vick’s boyfriend.
