Red Mountain beat Saint Mary’s for the softball state title. Pitcher Mel Willadsen got out of a bases loaded situation in the bottom of the seventh seal the win.
Red Mountain upset St. Mary’s 2-0 for the 5A-I title and Centennial took home the 5A-II trophy with a 5-1 victory over Sunnyside.
